Will Dillashaw-Sandhagen remind us of Chandler-Hooker?

A tall, long well-rounded striker will meet a short powerhouse wrestler with dynamite in his hands, who will rush inside, fearless of takedowns, and land a bomb.

I'm a devil's advocate here, obviously I don't want a cheater to succeed - but what do you think of that outcome?
 
I wouldn't be surprised if TJ tries to wrestle him like he did against Hands of stone
 
We’ll see, the snake has had a long time off and Sandhagen is a killer.
Those are usually a bad recipe for the guy who hasn’t been active, not to mention this is Gonna be TJ off his special sauce.

Chandler and TJ fights nothing alike. Hooker and Sandhagen doesnt really either.

I think this fight could go either way.

Yes, they have a different skill set - but, TBH, the fight Chandler and Hooker had was unrelated to the skillset of both. Hooker, for example, didn't show anything of his quite varied arsenal.
 
I don't think Dillashaw is going to be able to control the cage quite the same way Chandler did against Hooker. I don't foresee Sandhagen galloping around the outside until he gets KO'd
 
They used to train together.

Dillashaw said himself that Sandhagen would beat him in sparring, and this was back in 2015/16 when Dillashaw was champion and Sandhagen was like 2-0.

Now Sandhagen is entering his prime and Dillashaw is coming off a two year layoff with no more EPO.

Sandhagen will probably win this.
 
I wouldn’t really say TJ has dynamite in his hands, he’s never sparked anybody like that. I have no idea how this fight will go because there’s too many unknowns about where TJ is at right now.
 
Tj is a powerhouse wrestler?

I think your getting mixed up with when cejudo blasted TJ into suspension

If Hooker can go 5 rounds with DP in one of the fights if last year he can do better than he showed against MC FOB.

It’s one of those fights where I have no idea what will happen but I’m quite confident after seeing about 1 minute of the fight I can tell you what’s going to happen. The biggest unknown variable is TJ. A 2 year layoff is a big deal. The sports gotten faster. Techniques have changed. Striking is smarter. There’s a lot to account for. If TJ comes back with worse cardio as a result of having popped for EPO, that could also be a factor.

Sandhagen doesn’t just bring length to striking, he also brings it to grappling. He’s very smart about using his size in grappling. It’s something I see both him and chase hooper implement that I don’t see from guys like hooker or Max Holloway who tend to use their size in more of a bully kind of way.

Agree with this except the "going either way" thing, TJ is really old for that division and doesnt have the best chin. Sandhagen should be a sizable fav imo.

Hooker is a glorified journeyman punching bag

He isn't elite at anything other than the ability to absorb punches with his face

Tj’s been out for a while and won fights with roids.
 
TJ can wrestle but he def ain't a powerhouse lol. Cory is the rightful fav imo, but it should be fun
 
No because TJ isn't that kind of fighter at all. Have you ever watched him fight? He's not a stocky explosive powerhouse.
