Will boxing ever be unified?

For those who know more about how the governing bodies run - is it likely that the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO ever merge into one body?

This is like the Homer Simpson delema when he wasn't making enough $$ charging 25cents an elephant ride so he jacked the price up to $2000 or something.
