Simple question. Is ther anyone left on the beast wagon?

sacrilege! the beast has never lost a fight,he's the beast after all.

Would be kind of funny, some unheard of opponent enters thinking he's going to throw two or three light jabs and get his hand raised only to see the return of the Bob Sapp who fought Nog because he wants to go out with a victory.

Hahaha I would love that.

Well since Bobbo is retired I doubt that.

That's basically what happened during Thompson/Pudz. James was on a rough 1-8 streak, already had a shitload of KO losses but the notorious can subbed the local hero he was being fed to. He should also have won the rematch or at least get an extension round.

I know you weren't trying to bash him, it's cool, but... James Thompson was not at the Bob Sapp (and yes he announced hs retirement TS, but I can see how one could have missed that announcement) point; he was in a rough spot because of his gambling addiction and took several fights on very short notice for quick cash and wasn't training at all at that time...

He took the Overeem fight on literally a day notice IIRC for example (he wrote an interesting story about this fight)

He also had incidents like somewhat being robbed of a potential victory in the Kimbo fight (not saying he would have won, but... he was winning the fight until his cauliflower ear exploded), was on the losing side of a very close fight against the always tough Yusuke Kawaguchi, or got punched really hard by hard-hitter Brett Rogers who KO'd even AA in the same fashion just after...

Yeah he also had several losses because his chin (which was never one of the best to start with) was declining, but at least he was trying to win, not like Sapp who basically admitted to throwing fights in his last interviews. He also had some nice wins over Yoshida and Don Frye before that

Well I went full nut-hugger on this one :( but I'm happy that he is on a 6 wins streak (and that his gambling days are over, that wasn't for him...), including wins over Bobby Lashley, Marius (2x some would say, his fight finder says it best "No Contest (Judging Error)") and even ol' Sapp, who tapped to a takedown.
Damn what a letdown that fight was, I wish Sapp at least tried against James and Aleks, these were fun matchups that he had to waste...

Anyway, no big deal, I just like The Colossus a lot and was sad to see him getting called "the notorious can" :icon_sad:

Well, I used the word can mostly because it was obvious that KSW brought him to pad Pudz's record. From 2006 to 2010 he went 3-12 with 9 (t)KO losses, people have been called a can for much less but he hasn't lost since and I'm glad about it. His blog and his videos show a really great guy and I'm wishing him all the best in Bellator.

Yeah, I got ya and I didn't want to start shit ^^'
As a Colossus fan I felt like typing that down...
Like you said he is a great guy, and hopefully being in Bellator will keep him on the right tracks and he will keep on getting wins.
cheers

the colossus proves that the uk doesn't have horizontal heavyweights.
