No disagreement there. I just hadn't heard a figure dropped yet. It would sell huge over in the UK. Since both are finishers the likelihood of this going to a decision and Wilder getting a dodgy decision is less likely to happen. I would agree to it if I was Wilder because the payday would be by far a career high and I'd like my chances of the fight not going the distance.

Agreed, i have no notion at all on who would win the fight, i think its a pick-em but i get the feeling the Wilder is starting to get a bit nervous about fighting infront of a bigger audience than most comedians command

I looked it up. For the Froch-Groves rematch in 2014 at Wembley Carl received a purse of a reported £8 million. Back then it would've been worth notably more in USD, comparably, than it is today, $11.3 million. It would've been around $13.5 million to $14 million or so when you adjust for deflation.

Given it would almost certainly sell out Wembley, get the uk Ppv people watching, and attract US interest I reckon he makes more £ than froch.
 
It's the perfect time to make statements like that because they both have a hard fight coming up and if they both win having a demand like USA only that he can give up is a GREAT strategy.

Imagine in the actual negotiations how big of a chip it would be to have. "Ok I'll fight you in the UK even though my heart was set on the US but I need another 5% of the purse.and a few more ppv points."

Personally I don't think the location will play a huge factor in a fight that will not go the distance anyway. This fight ends by knockout or stoppage no matter who wins. The judges should get free popcorn and beer because they will just be there to see the show.
