Why would UFC drag out the reveal of Brock's opponent... unless it's Fedor?

UFC told Hunt to stay ready for UFC 200.

But if Hunt was Brock's opponent, why wouldn't UFC just announce that right now? Hunt is not such a big name that you need to drag out the reveal.

The only logical reason is that UFC is awaiting the result of Fedor-Maldo with the hopes of making Fedor-Brock. The reason they told Hunt to stay ready for UFC 200 is in case Fedor loses or gets injured against Maldo.

UFC is promoting Fedor-Maldo on Fight Pass.

Guys, it's Fedor-Brock. Better pray that Fedor dispatches of Maldo easily.

Given how much attention they get by mentioning Brock's name, I'm kind of surprised they're not releasing the name of Brock's opponent letter by letter, on a weekly basis.

pretty much anytime you use the term "only logical reason" you have to be 150% sure or whatever youre saying is nonsense....since in this case you arent sure...well

why wouldnt they just announce it right away? maybe they didnt even plan to announce it on saturday but thanks to Helwani were forced to...maybe at the time they decided they have to announce it because the Nose already let the cat out of the bag....they didnt have an opponent inked for Lesnar....maybe now they do...

I think they would match him with someone he actually has a chance of beating. Fedor would murder him and we all know it.
