Why would Rogan say Rousey has cleaned out the division?

As dominant as Rousey has been, there are several interesting challengers on the horizon, with Correia and Cyborg being the most immediate interesting ones, and Holm and Reneau knocking on the door to contention.

It just seemed strange that Rogan would deliberately make the division sound weaker than it is.

She's cleaned out a generation of title challengers. So she's cleaned it out as much as Jones did his before the arrival of Glover/Gus/Cormier/Humble.

I really don't see anyone threatening her any time soon.

She's defeated 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 in the division. There's not much left. I'd like to see her fight Bethe in Brazil next and then after that, there should be someone on a 3-fight streak who can challenge her.

You can't be serious. Correia, in what way could she be a threat? She will lose as quickly as Cat. Cyborg isn' a BW. Holm looked terribel and based on round 3 against Pennington, she will REALLY struggle to become a top contender. The other girl you mentioned I've never heard of and I assume she is on a lower level than previously mentioned fighters.

BW is utterly and completely cleaned out and now it's just a matter of recycling.

cyborg to big and roided...
rest arent gunna come close.... rogan is right.

cyborg isn't in the division, holm proved she's not a credible challenger yet and bethe... please

she's not beaten literally everyone but she's beaten anyone with a title-shot worthy record that could pose a credible threat

The division is cleaned.. Its an extremely weak division. Correia is uninteresting and Cyborg cant make 135 and Ronda clearly wants no part of her.

Selective memory? He said she has defeated all members of the Top 5 of her division, which according to UFC rankings is a fact.

Ronda would wipe the floor with Correia. Cyborg is not in the UFC (not yet). Rogan is correct.

rogan is known for saying odd things at times...

She didn't mention a word about Cyborg... I don't want to see Beth & especially not Holly fight for the belt. Holly would be way too tentative and would probably psych herself out.. I also don't typically like it when fighters change there stance drastically to adapt to an opponent who may take them down ergo changing their style generally towards something they're much less comfortable with. Holm seems like a great person but I don't see anything that can tough Ronda even with years more of training (and Holly is in her prime).

Because she's beat the top 4 contenders in the division.

It's been obvious since ronda's third or fourth pro fight that there are only two good female fighters - ronda and Cyborg. Ronda is avoiding Cyborg. A great fighter would accept a catch weight fight at 140 in a minute. Maybe Brazzler has told ronda that Cyborg is a match for her and ronda prefers to make big money and duck Cyborg.

ronda is the 135 champ, who has fought at a 147 catchweight before, competed in judo at 154, and Cyborg is the 145 pound champ. A century of boxing indicates that the smaller fighter moves up.

She's beaten everyone who people ever thought had even a slight chance against her. Bethe Correia's name is there purely because she is undefeated and all other challengers have been decimated. I think Bethe has a couple decent names on her record but I can't believe she has anything more than that slight "anyone could win any night" type chance that can be attributed to how the sport is, not her actual skill.

The only other name people bring up is Cyborg but that makes 0 sense as of right now. Cyborg failed a drug test in 2011, did not have a single fight in 2012, had 2 wins in 2013, then took all of 2014 off of MMA. Now she has won 1 fight in 2015 at 145. That's great, but I think she needs to prove she can make 135 before that fight even has a chance of happening. Personally I would say she needs 2 wins at 135 to get her shot. If the UFC becomes super desperate maybe 1, but still.

Because he wants to see her fight Cyborg and proves she's a true champion.

Cyborg is not in the division, the other names are not contenders.
