I thought only guys who were on TRT were going to have to take random drug test. Why was Wandy singled out for a test? Just curious. I was under the impression that the AC didn't give out random drug test and we have seen fighters bitching that they don't do this. So why now?

Nevada is upping the amount of random testing I believe with the UFC helping to foot the bill. As for Wand being "singled out", I believe all of the fighters at the UFC 175 presser were drug tested. Chael and Rousey were at least.

The funny thing is, I distinctly remember Dana criticizing a boxing card for testing the fighters before the event and having the fight fall through

bingo, Nevada have stepped up their game since Kizer hasnt been there

i havent actually been following wand/chael fighting falling through
did wand refuse a drug test and therefore he cant compete against chael?

Wait...so testing fighters is now a bad thing?

If the matchup has one former TRT/roid user they test both fighters.

I don't think wandy is scared but he definitely is doing something he shouldn't be. My opinion of course.

I like Wand, but it's good that they're doing more random testing.

So, Chael was right this whole time? Holy cow!

Chael, exposed the truth...who knew?

yeah thats what it sounds like. Read that he fleed the gym when a medical professional came

Imo, yes. Steroids are commonly used for healing purposes. As long as the fighter tests clean before the fight then there should be no problems. This random testing is going to decrease a fighters length of career while providing nothing positive.

Bollocks. If you seriously think they're just taking hoids to heal up, I've a bridge to sell you.

Best post I've seen in a while. Steroids are more commonly used for recovery purposes i.e. allowing a fighting to recover more quickly after training sessions and therefore upping the amount of training they can do.
