Why was the Dodson/Moraga fight stopped?

It didn't look broken at all when they showed it. It was a really weird nose cut - along the (still very straight) bone rather than across. Even if the doc THOUGHT it was broken, I honestly can't remember seeing a fight stopped because of a broken nose. I CAN remember seeing several go on in spite of a broken nose.

I figured the doc maybe saw the bone through the cut as that always was enough to stop the fight with forehead cuts. It's pretty confusing and deviated drastically from the norm if that wasn't the case.
