Violence/Genocide: Do not condone violence or genocide on a person or group of people. You are free to attack a person or groups ideas but you are crossing the line when calling for violence. This will be heavily enforced in threads with breaking news involving victims.

Opinion Why this isn't headlining every news outlet?

Because the study was from March and as far as I can make out they use aspirin for it's blood thinning qualities to help with clotting issues, it's not something we all need to be taking every day as a prevention measure.

Ironically the great (So called Spanish) Avian flu pandemic of 1918-20 doctors widely prescribed the new wonder medicine Aspirin but unfortunately in dangerous doses.

It's speculated that many of the 50 million who died did so from Aspirin poisoning.

Because pushing this would be wildly irresponsible.

How come? It's only aspirin, a lot of elderly people take it if they have heart issues because it helps prevent blood clots by thinning the blood. What harm does an aspirin a day do?

Until a "study" has been peer-reviewed and then repeated using a double-blind process with far more than just a few hundred people, it should NOT be touted out to the public.

Think back about how many articles like this have come out in the past 2 years and how many of them have turned out to be incorrect and non-repeatable.

Aspirin isn't an anti-viral medication. As dumb as conservatives have shown themselves to be we'll have poison control centers being flooded with people who swallowed a bottle of aspirin.

OTC painkillers are like alcohol. Too much money in the industry to pass any increased regulation but they are actually more dangerous than many prescription medications.

Dudes. It's ASPIRIN. You really think people are going to get hooked on aspirin? They'd be downing Tylenol and Nurofen in their droves by now if they were that way inclined, and if they want to do that then that's their own stupid fault, lol.

Well its a treatment after the fact and its a small sample size -- but yeah it does seem to show benefits in treatment. So it should be studied and then pushed harder.

Edit - there is actually a fair amount of publications on it, even stating it could aid in prevention

Low-Dose Aspirin May Help Shield You From COVID-19

There seems to be a weird trend among the hardcore vaccine support that tries to push the narrative that only the vaccine can be effective. And while it may be the most effective currently (why i decided to take it), but its asinine to think its the only thing one could possibly take -- especially amongst the least vulnerable

Score, because of a minor stroke I had a couple years ago, I have to take a dose of baby aspirin daily to combat blood clotting....so right on if that's the case

They probably do treat with it where required I'd imagine.

If the medicine is cheaper than the vaccine.... the government, tech and pharma will not allow you to read or hear any information on it.

But remember....members of congress are exempt from the vaccine and being treated with HCQ and Ivermectin.
