The UFC is letting Jones hold on to the HW belt because any other fight they might book for Aspinall is at best a brutally bad squash match that will be lucky to sell 150K PPVs, so paying Aspinall to sit on the bench and hoping that Jones eventually signs is far and away the best choice from both a money and a sport viewpoint.

Naw...

They are shopping the fight to their next broadcast partners ...seeing who will pay them the most to start the deal with them...

Its all business and money..

It always is .. with the UFC

It's fair, but Aspinall could have easily broken Stipe's hw defenses record by the time a Jones fight happens. That builds a star better than sitting on the sidelines and hoping for a potential fight with the existing guy that is unlikely to ever happen.

UFC dug its own grave with this. They are afraid if they strip Jones he will go to PFL and agree to fight Francis.

You can't pretend that what they've done with Jones so far has been good for business and money.

The sole purpose is to piss off the majority of Sherdoggers. Luckily, there are other Sherdoggers who find great pleasure in this. The most important outcome - 20 threads per day on the topic.

because he defended 6months ago? and probably is fighting Aspinall in a few months at MSG?

Except Jon Jones was never a huge draw. His best ppv revenue ranks at #22 overall. Ronda vs Beth fucking Correia made more money.

They think he has box office value and don't want him to take that to PFL. If Tom can't job him out then this bullshit will continue.

Yeah, completely done with Jones. He's making the ufc look pathetic.

Jones must have serious dirt on Dana which is the reason Dana has not stripped him of the belt

Jones must have walked in on Dana doing some freak off diddy stuff with the Neik boys & other young boy influencers which would also explain on why Dana always giving these young boys large amounts of money as well

Dana's wife must have found out her husband's tryst and payouts with these young boy influencers which is why she was in tears and when she tried to walk away, Dana brutally assaulted her in the nightclub on NYE

Jones can proberly get away and do what he wants as long as he never mention what Diddy White does

The UFC is due to get fraud checked soon with their antics

The hate placed on Jones should be towards the UFC, they are probably sweetening the pot with their streaming deal with this fight. All this waiting is likely the UFC leveraging this fight as part of the deal.
At best, it should be shared. It's not like Jones has publicly said that he's retired and wants to vacate the belt.
