Why so much Joanna hate?

It seemed like almost everyone loved her until she lost. I understand how she could have turned people off with her behavior prior to he last fight with Rose, but unlike Ronda, i saw all of that as an act and a persona, not how she really is.

Also, people like to shit on her for making excuses regarding the weight cut in their last fight, but talking to Ariel about it here it really seems like it played a significant factor and she truly seems humbled:

It really looked like her body shut off very quickly which will happen if you are sick or have had a terrible weight cut.

Agreed on all points, she went full Ronda before that last fight and it was cringey but listening to her on the MMA hour she truly seems to have a whole new perspective and very down to earth now

No I think that a lot of people were turning on her before she lost, and it's 100% due to her personality, or maybe I should say persona that she shows to the camera. Imo she's in the top 5 of douchiest mma fighters of all time, it just took a while for a lot of us to realize it because of the language barrier. Honestly if you want to know the precise moment that a lot of people turned on her, it was when she dubbed herself the "boogeywoman". And she's whined with excuses ever since she lost.

Also consider that her opponent is Thug Rose, who just comes off as such a sweet person in addition to being a killer in the cage. Personally I'm a big fan of JJ as a fighter but ugh I can't stand her in interviews. It's hard to root for her vs Rose but maybe it would be cool if she wins and we get a trilogy (first for WMMA?)
