Why people need to back up car when you walk behind them

I've never backed into oncoming traffic.

You're the idiot who doesn't practice defensive driving or parking etiquette. Speeding through a parking lot, swerving to avoid cars. You're a terrible driver.

Golden rule of driving.

Never affect the actions of oncoming traffic or pedestrians, even if they are driving badly.

Judging by how many people just walk into the roadway without even bothering to look if there are any oncoming cars, they must believe they have invincibility super powers. I kinda want to honk at them to wake them up, but they might be crack heads and chase and key my car.

Also irritating is jackasses pouring into the crosswalk regardless of the don't walk sign where in effect they are not allowing cars to turn ever.
