Why not more threads about Lawler Vs. Ellenberger?

I'm almost as excited for this fight as I am for DC vs. Hendo, what about everybody else?

They're both very exciting fighters, and Lawler just came very close to beating Hendricks who is tough as nails.

 

Best fight on the card. By far.

 

Burger is one of my favorite fighters and I like Lawler a lot too. I'm looking forward to the fight but at the same time I don't want to see either guy lose. Could be a great fight.

 

To be honest I think this is a waaaaay more competitive fight than DC vs Hendo. I think Robbie is going to finish Ellenberger. I went back and watched that fight with Hendricks and to be honest if he'd pressed in the 5th and watched for the desperate take down, he'd have won. I know they don't score for damage (or he'd have won) but he busted up Johnny more than anyone ever has. He finished Kos like Johnny couldn't (though an early stoppage, I didn't see Kos coming back). I love watching Lawler fight. I'm hoping TJ can pull off an upset but I really want to watch Robbie make a statement for the belt.

 

lawler should take it by decision, I dont see jake getting KOed but its possible. Ellenberger froze up against Rory I really cant see him doing much to Robbie aside fom a TD or 2 then getting clobbered on the feet for the rest of the fight. Stoked for this tho

Agreed. I think that we are complacently anticipating either a brutal ko or fight of the night lol. Most of the emotional investment resides one step above it in the card.

 

It should be Lawler vs Diaz II tonight. Scumbag UFC.

Maybe when everyone thinks of Jake they think of that absolute shitfest of a fight with Rory and don't get too excited about him fighting. Either that or that he looks a little like Ben Stiller.

 

And how's the ufc going to make that fight if Diaz is retired? Havent they offered him pretty much every striker on the roster already?

Title shot is what Diaz is seeking if anything and Lawler is not the champion.

 

I hate this fight because I like both fighters. Don't want to see either fighter getting KO'd but I think that will happen.

 

Lol at the idiot remark about the UFC. This thread is about Lawler v Jake. U should be hating Diaz for not fighting, not the UFC. Plus, Diaz does not deserve to fight Lawler right now. If Jake beats Lawler then maybe Diaz could fight him. Jake is too up and down to win against Lawler, so I see a decision win for Lawler. Who would Robbie fight next?

Both have big KO power & can end the fight with one punch (any given day)

It's the best fight on the card IMO. But dude, come on, HENDO is fighting. I, along with 90% of other sherdoggers, love this dude.

 

Personally my most anticipated fight on this card.. Can't wait

 

They offered him a few more fights that he's turned down including Matt Brown recently , and no Diaz doesn't deserve Lawler right now.
