It was way more exciting than the standard MMA striking Cerrone fight. Horiguchi was using feints to land multiple shots darting in and out. he even used a pretty wide variety of techniques. You definitely could tell there was a Karate component reminiscent of Machida.

A nice prospect for the UFC's japanese market. Maybe can help bring about an MMA resurgence in Japan.

No one cares about tiny dudes jumping around all over the place.

Because it was a one-sided fight that was also pretty boring.

there were like three punches thrown in the first few minutes of the fight. Once the crowd was out of it and started booing, I was bored also.

Plus, neither fighter went for the finish at any time during the fight...

Not of a fight fan are you? if it isn't a slow plodding aggressive thai stylist then it's not entertaining.

He looked good but considering he was like a -700 favorite, I think more peopel were expecting him to run through Gaudinot. It was a good opportunity for him- he was on a huge PPV and had an opponenet he was supposed to beat. That's sort of his style though, he doesn't engage in brawls. He's similar to Lyoto in that he'll swarm on you if he hurts you, but he doesn't go out of his way to beat the hell out of you.

He's very young and has a lot of potential. He'll liekly struggle against the elite in the division, but considering his age and current skillset there is no reason to think that he will never get to their level.

Good fight, I'd love to see him in a 5-rounder. Awesome movement, and I love that blitzing style.

Just because a person doesn't like your particular favorite styles or weight classes doesn't mean that person isn't a real fight fan. Different strokes for different folks, no?

Solid performance, I was still impressed. Difficult to finish them all, particularly at 125.

Because all the fights sucked in middle school and these guys are the same size.

Rather watch WMMA to be honest.

Very impressive by Guchi..especially his movement and footwork. The pace and speed of the fight alone was way more exciting than most of the main card which was rather boring

I think Horiguchi and Motoya are the only JMMA prospects (can he be called that any more?) to come out of this year unscathed.
