He's...

1. Tall

2. A striker

3. Young for the division, younger than "big prospects" Ngannou and Lewis

4. Russian, with a name ending in -ov

All favored traits by Sherdog, so where's the hype? All aboard the Drago Soviet War Wagon!

I think he beats Ngannou and Overreem.

Can't see him winning against Werdum or Stipe, but he is a future Top 5 HW for sure.

I don't believe in hype trains. Russian fighters don't get the respect they deserve I have noticed on sherdog either.

BigMuffler - That one was in Bellator, you might be thinking of the split dec. he got over Timothy Johnson

He landed some good knees on Roy but I also thought he ran a lot in that fight

Werdum would beat him, so would Allistair

I would bet money Blaydes would beat him too

Give him lower tier guys and he should be fine

Only if they are not 24-0 can crushers who had no intent of fighting for the title.

He's young, and he still got time to improve a lot (do I need to mention to you guys which fighters made a comeback after being mediocre?)

He had Semmy Schilt (GOAT tall HW striker) in his corner. If he could learn how to fight tall like Schilt, while still having decent jits/wrestling, I can easily see him as a serious future threat.

Volkov is good, we'll see just how good in his future matchups.
However, Minakov KTFO'd him and Minakov is not in the UFC...still...

I would he'll make top 5 pretty soon, no question about it.

Beating Nelson and Struve is rather impressive. I believe he has improved since the days of losing to Kongo.

I don't know if he is quite ready for the elite yet. I would like to see him fight Travis just to gain a little more confidence and experience. I think Hunt might be his worst matchup possible. I can't wait to see who they match him up against next.

He was almost stopped by a D2 wrestler and def lost that fight by decision.

Now he might start getting more buzz. but his first 2 UFC fights were very lackluster and most people thought he lost against Johnson, I definitely thought Johnson won and that fight was very sloppy. If he can get some more finishes then I'm sure he will get more hype.

He just didn't look that impressive against Nelson and Struve, who aren't that impressive themselves. I want to see him against the Oleyinik/ Blaydes winner, but he deserves a higher ranked fighter so I have no clue who he'll fight next.
