Why No Hype For BWs Only True Knockout Artist?

Danaa Batgerel has knocked out three straight opponents in the first round and is tied with Tai Tuivasa for the longest active 1st Round KO/TKO record.

Sean O'Malley and Adrian Yanez are considered uber prospects in the BW division due to their finishing skills at BW but Danaa somehow is still stuck opening Fight Night cards.

You'd think certain high ranking UFC executives would be inclined to push a male knockout artist named Danaa but somehow they keep shoving a guy with rainbow hair and questionable power down our throats?

The UFC needs to stop protecting Sean O'Malley and Adrian Yanez and book them to fight the only true knockout artist in the lower weight classes.

I have no doubt Danaa with his freakish speed and accuracy would find their chins and add them to his highlight reel no later than 4:59 of the first round.

He’s Mongolian will have trouble getting the American market behind him. Solid UFC start though but he will have difficulty getting fights I think.

Didn't know he fought last month. Glad to see he got another 1st round KO. That is indeed rare at BW. He's already 32 though so he should get back in the cage ASAP.

It’s because he’s Mongolian and can’t speak English. Sad but true. It’s the same reason Shavkat Rakhmanov isn’t being hyped up as much as Khamzat

Primarily because he hasn't really fought anyone of any note yet, although the KO's were sweet he hasn't faced anybody even in the top 50 in the world.

Dana white is the only Dana allowed and has to flex his alpha status on him, condemning him to a life of early prelims and 10k/10k

Dana's Batgirl is certainly good but I prefer Marvel. Sorry DC.

Sure, but you would think three consecutive first round knockouts would gain Danaa some traction in the division.

Guido Canetti and Brandon Davis may not be Top 50 but they were UFC veterans that had been in there with plenty of top 50 guys (Marlon Vera, Giga Chikadze, Zabit, among others) and Danaa was the first guy to knock them out.

I would be high on Danaas chances against both Yanez and O'Malley; especially Yanez. Its definitely time the UFC gave this guy a meaningful fight

Love Batgirl. He's made me cash with his finishes in his last 3 fights.

mongolians are absolute chads. They wrestle horse into submission and they box with 200 pound eagles

and after the Polynesians left, they absolutely dominate sumo wrestling. like 4 of the last 5 yokozunas were all Mongolians. the current sole Yokozuna, Terunofuji, is a Mongolian who went to one of the lowest ranks of sumo due to diabetes and other injuries and then rose all the way back to the highest ranks to achieve Yokozuna this year. fucking incredible.

they also brought us The Hu

I think he might be a bit too slow compared to those two who are both fast and accurate, but I do agree it's time to put him in there with someone just outside the rankings.

Maybe Brian Kelleher would be a good fight, he's usually a good test for anyone.

Josh emmet probably has the biggest power in FW and he is not hyped either
Obviously emmet is way older, but i think in these smaller classes, there isnt much hype for a KO artists unless he goes far, like cody went
This guy is from an forgotten country and didnt fight anyone good yet

Consider that record is tied by low skilled Tai, tells you how little it means ko'ing low level talent fast.

Well he already lost his debut against Alateng who hasn’t been very impressive. Another reason is he hasn’t beaten anybody noteworthy. His opponents have been 4-10 in the UFC outside of their fight with him and have been finished in half of those losses. Maybe he’ll get some hype if he can continue the trend against a top 50 opponent at least.

As Per Tapology:

Adrian Yanez UFC KOs: Victor Rodriguez (#90 Flyweight), Gustavo Lopez (#70 Bantamweight), Randy Costa (#53 Bantamweight)

Sean O'Malley UFC KOs: Jose Albert Quinonez (#73 Bantamweight), Eddie Wineland (#58 Bantamweight), Thomas Almeida (#96 Bantamweight), Kris Moutinho (#136 Bantamweight)

Danaa Batgerel UFC KOs: Guido Cannetti (#124 Bantamweight), Kevin Natividad (#147 Bantamweight), Brandon Davis (#149 Bantamweight)

Danaas opponents may be 4-10 in the UFC but other than Miles Johns KOing Kevin Natividad; Danaa was the first guy to KO both Guido Cannetti (fought Marlon Vera) and Brandon Davis (fought Zabit & Giga). Danaa also has a regional win over Kai-Kara France.

None of them have fought great competition but the difference is Danaa is KOing them in the first round and in a far more calculated manner and doesn't have a tenth of the hype nor opportunities.

Danaa has just as much of a claim to a ranked opponent as Yanez.
