Why must the UFC insist on anti-doping?

We won't have any fights left soon. What's the problem of letting people take whatever they want, just like in Pancraese? Is this a moral stance more than anything?

If fighters can't fight without ped's then what the fuck are we watching?

We wanna find out whos the best brooo

There is some evidence to suggest abuse causes health problems, and in the case of professional cycling, potential death. No sporting organization wants to police PEDs but they have to in order to keep the blood off their hands.

I see no conflict with that.. If everybody is on steorids, we will find out the best. Just as if nobody is.
you think a fighter who make 10k/10k can pay the same amout for PED as Jon Jones or Lesnar? that the fuckin problem

Because the media doesn't handle the UFC drug suspensions quietly like most other sports so it got a rep for being dirty.

So they went USADA, aka the nuclear option.

Also using steroids is like you know illegal
That's bullshit. Weed is illegal. It shouldn't be. And what's wrong needs to change.

As for PEDs they should at least legalize the ones that keep fighters healthy and safe.

Because it's not fair on the clean athletes who have to work harder than the cheaters. Lifetime bans for cheaters haven't even been implemented yet so why not try that before forcing clean fighters to take steroids

Cause cheating is for pussies and fake people.
We are talking about fighters here , and cheating directly contradits the meaning of what it is to be a fighter.

Clean fighters should only fight clean fighters.

PED fighters should only fight other PED fighters.

That way, it'll be a level playing field for everybody.

It protects them from lawsuits.

For example: If someone gets seriously hurt or worse inside the octogon... & then it's found out that the other fighter was on PED's, then there could be reprocussions for the UFC without the USADA thing.

With USADA... they can be said to be doing all they can do & would not be liable for something like that.

Because UFC is regulated & trying hard to be a legitimate entity. If you want to watch fighters on steroids, go to Russia, Brazil & Japan. Overthere, MMA is not regulated & it's run by organized criminals.

To try to look more "legit" I guess, but it's going to backfire badly.

First, the UFC is not any sport. Lots of people still view it as cockfighting and probably always will.

Yes, it is a moral stance. Young people often do not think of the consequences of their action.

The moral dilemma is this.

1. Should we let them destroy their lives for our entertainment? It's their lives, their choices.
2. Or should we protect them from themselves?

Its a sport. A violent one. They need to look out for the safety of the fighters.
