When he gets in the ring with someone like Floyd, let me know.

Do you know any ATGs that have such a horrible loss on their ascent?

Needs more fights. Needs more big names. Crawford has more fights but actually not better quality.

I'm plenty critical of Crawford, but he was lineal in two weight divisions before WW. You can't just say he hasn't fought a top WW (which he hasn't) and pretend that's the end of the discussion. I have Lomachenko ahead of him, but this is a disingenuous way of describing things.

Tons of them. Pac had a few which were worse and Canelo will never reach his heights.

It goes both ways. If Canelo had won, it would be a huge plus on his record. Likewise, since he got embarrassed, that's a negative.

Honestly, a case can be made for either Canelo or Loma. I'd give the edge to Canelo, but Loma does have good wins under his belt. Both guys have far better wins than Crawford or Spence.

Absolutely agree. I’d probably have loma above canelo purely down to the peds and his ‘draw’ with ggg
I’d have Crawford, usyk and inoue after that, not necessarily in that order. I’m not sure what spence has done to be in the conversation tbh

    spence is a bad motherfucker.

he destroyed algieri. sure, not a world beater, but a solid opponent. he whooped brook in a great fight. people will say brook was hurt from the GGG fight, but he showed up and he was an underrated WW champion. made peterson look like he was a scrub. outboxed mikey garcia, didn't even bother bullying him with his size. won a great fight vs a very game porter.

all of these wins are impressive, man. not impressive enough to warrant #1 p4p obviously, but his resume is no joke. spence is the truth.

What’s can I say. I don’t rate his wins over the Cuban midget and Ricky Burns at 135 that highly. And beyond that who’s his best win... Jeff Horn, Victor Postol? It’s slim picking man. I get the eye test thing but at some point he has to fight someone who he can’t just bully physically/athletically. Again:

    Spence
    Pacquiao
    Thurman
    Porter
    D. Garcia
    Mikey
    Kell Brook
    Ugas

Just one. Fight one of these guys and pass “the eye” test then. If he beat down Ugas or stopped Mikey, I’d shut the fuck up. Seriously

So the fact that Loma hasn't even stepped into the ring with a guy like that is a negative too, right? Or does he get credit for not doing things?

Manny Pacquiao has a couple. Against much lesser fighters.

Losing 12 - 0 to Floyd is worse than not fighting Floyd. Do you disagree?

They aren't comparable. One guy did it. The other guy didn't.

Absolutely agree he should be top 15, probably top ten, but the top 5 guys have done so much more

I agree his WW run has been extremely disappointing. I just don't get saying Crawford has done absolutely nothing in the same post where you'd lauding Lomachenko for beating guys across three weight classes. Crawford was lineal in two weight classes before getting to WW. I have Lomachenko above Crawford, but they both suffer from similar issues at the moment in terms of a lack of elite wins.
