DJ lost to Cruz and Pickett.. Jones never lost and beat better guys.. why is this even an argument?

Because "muh P4P list" to make the smaller people feel included even though bigger fighters are objectively better fighters in general

MM should be able to piss in Jones bathroom, imo.

MM shouldnt even be discussed as nr 2

Cruz bless the ignorance

DJ is undefeated in his weight class just like Jones. If Jones fights at HW and still remains undefeated then I will agree with your assessment.

DJ fights guys that are his size or bigger, jones fights few guys his own size but mostly smaller MW's.

How are they better fighters in general? Is Mark Hunt more skilled than DJ?

I think the level of competition is a bit different IMO

DJ is extremely good, and beats "very good" fighters relative to his division. Jon Jones utterly dismantles former champions and outlasts a guy like Daniel Cormier who would probably be the best fighter in the world if Jon wasn't around.

No, but Mark Hunt would beat his ass as would every single solitary HW on the roster.

Divisions for a reason and all that.

It should be because Jones beat Bader, Shogun, Rampage, Machida, and Evans in 14 months.

That might be the most impressive record of any MMA fighter ever.

Machida was past his prime? According to whom? And he beat roided out vitor. the supposedly unbeatable trt vitor with relative ease. True, rampage wasn't probably in his prime, but he killed him. Shogun, In my opinion was always highly over rated.

I don't agree. Talent for talent size has no bearing. Now obviously if you put a guy like Demetrius against Jones it's a no brainer and that's when size plays it's role. If you were someway able to make Demetrius the same size as Jones though that might be different altogether because he is vastly talented.

Well, when we get a way to do that, I will submit to you that DJ is better than Jones :p

I'm just sayin that size is the relative difference not the talent level

I understand the many reasons for people to hate Jones but he has beaten every challenger. Who should he have fought in place of all those fighters?

beat better guys than Cruz and Pickett...?

um....huh?

also what @KONE said is true. It's why I put DJ at #1.

plus inactivity on Jones' part makes it more arguable.

or maybe think of it less as an argument and more of a discussion.
