Why is "Ubereem" so highly regarded on here despite getting KO'd by Bigfoot?

I see people talking about this guy like he was some world beater when he got slept despite being juiced to the gills.

Is this just some weird fetish people have or what

Weirder still is defining a fighters career on a single loss.

Watch overeems fights. Watch him positively demolish Brock Lesnar if you wanna define him based on one fight.

He is a legend, has been in some awesome fights. Has also lost to some people he should have beaten, but that's part of his mystique. You never know what you're gonna get in an overeem fight.

The mythical unbeatable "Ubereem" doesn't exist

He got KO'd by an average striker despite being juiced to the gills

Didn't that fight happen after his suspension and he looked deflated compared to what he looked like before. So it was a juiced Bigfoot vs a deflated Overeem.

Ubereem didn't fight Bigfoot... Alistair fought Bigfoot after his suspension, people on this board were mocking his appearance at the weighins...

Edit: d0g beat me to it.

    this sums it up.

on paper, he shouldve absolutely beat Bigfoot, but he didnt.

on paper, he shouldve absolutely lost to JDS, but he didnt.

    you never know with Alistair.

He was schooling bigfoot until he got caught.

Also, Reem won the K1 title in Tokyo which shows that he's a great striker

No. He was lined up to fight JDS at 146 for the title but was suspended for a failed test and was replaced by Mir. Then he came back against Bigfoot.

Guy has wins over JDS and Werdum too. You can't really let one loss define a person's career and disregard everything else they've done. That'd be like me calling GSP a can for losing to Matt Serra.
Tony Ferguson is a can for losing to Justin Gaethje.
Justin Gaethje is a can for losing to Eddie Alvarez.
Stipe Miocic is a can for losing to Stefan Struve
Jon Jones is a can for losing to Matt Hamill

Are you trolling? That wasn't Ubereem. That was Overeem off the steroids.
