Why is Tony a threat to Khabib?

By that same token, how did Khabib look vs Tibau? It's a fight he almost lost and a lot of people had Khabib losing that fight. Tony is much more of an offensive threat, better submission game, better offensive grappling, better cardio etc. You gotta ask yourself, if Tony is slightly better than perennial 15-25 ranked Tibau (which we know he is in so many ways) then Khabib is screwed.

    ;)

Everybody is giving me the reasons why Tony will put Khabib in trouble but no examples to go along with those reasons. This is a good example that makes Tony look bad.

    Why is Sherdog so stupid?

Why the fuck do people put so much weight into fights from 10 years ago?

What about Khabib looking helpless against Tibau and arguably losing that fight?

    Fuck this place sometimes, seriously.

Khabib fought Tibau in 2012, if you look at the footage, the Tibau that Khabib fought looked in much better shape and just beat RDA prior to fighting Khabib. Tony fought Tibau right before he went on his 4 fight losing streak. I also think that Khabib's game has improved A LOT more than Tony's since 2012.

Because people keep bringing up that Tony wrestled his whole life and was a State champion or whatever , where were his wrestling skills during that fight ? or did he begin wrestling after that fight and became a state champ ??

People think he's going to pose a threat to Khabib from the bottom, but they're gonna be surprised. I predict that Tony will be too willing to fight from the bottom and it will backfire.

Guys who are very evasive strikers and have great movement (like Pettis) just ate punch after kick after elbow until their faces looked like undercooked meatloaf. Khabib isn't evasive...is a mediocre striker...has no reach...and has a huge head. So, Tony is going to execute Mortal Kombat maneuvers on Khabib. It'll be 3 months before Khabib can get the taste of MMA glove out of his mouth.

He's got the cardio to at least keep up and last throughout the fight. One of the main reasons I believe he stands a solid shot is because he's comfortable everywhere, not saying he's the best in every aspect compared to Khabib. But he doesn't care and is always threatening by attacking be it on his back or standing.

Khabib does the most damage on the ground when his opponents try to get up, which forces action and opens up Khabibs punches and elbows. Khabib also leaves little to no space for his opponents to attack with sub attempts. This is where Tony I believe will be different, he seems very comfortable off his back using his long arms and his wrist controls & using his hips seem to differ using Bravos system. Tony needs to get Khabib respect once it hits the ground be it elbows or sub attempts.

This is hard one to predict I'm rooting for Tony, but Khabib just looks to be unstoppable when it comes anything grappling related.

...also, if you have a difficult time getting excited for this fight. I'm afraid your only recourse is a hardcore meth addiction. Good luck with that.o_O

Tony’s TDD is not as good as Tibau but Khabib’s wrestling way better than Castillo. I hope that clears it up for you.

I am sorry I did not realize that Tony’s fight from 6 years ago was no longer relevant but Khabib’s from 8 years ago still is. One of us is definitely stupid.

Khabib has one of the biggest heads in the division - a terrific target, has taken rounds off to make people suspect he might not have the greatest gas tank, is a T-Rex with pillow fists and no KO power and proved against Doostin he's perfectly capable of goofing up and letting a dangerous choke slide in.

Those are some of the reasons. But he should still be the rightful favorite.

Not excited for the very possibly greatest light weight of all time, to defend/unify his belt against another possibly the greatest lightweight of all time.......

Not excited for 28-0 against 25-3 on a 12 fight win streak.

Not excited for the greatest grappler of all time in MMA to be tested against the best wrestler hes ever fought, an NCAA champion at 165lbs, who also happens to be a BJJ wizard that loves fighting from his back and scrambling. And also has razer shart elbows.

yea, ok bud, don't watch the fight then. and also hand over your MMA fan card.

SHIT, after I typed all that I realized this is a new account troll post.
