I know its about the quick money grab but, c'mon now, the guy wont have an answer for Diaz in 3-4 months. He obviously cant fight on the ground. He looked lost when he got pressed up against the cage. And he doesn't have the hands Diaz does. He may have power but its only in one hand and he only throws said hard punch in 2 forms. I know they're trying to prolong the inevitable loss to Edgar but no one is gonna care about that fight after he loses again.

they are hoping he lasts 5 rounds so they can give him the win via robbery decision

Mark my words:
win or lose McGregog will fight for the LW strap next (yes, call me crazy).

If (when) he loses to Diaz again they will just give Nate another big fight at WW to justify the fact that Conor lost to a WW.

At this point it's not even clear if he'll ever defend the FW strap ever, not ignoring the fact that he might not actually be able to make the weight. But if he'll ever fight at FW again I don't see that happening before early 2017.

You guys think that it was bad for the UFC that Conor lost, but no single fighter is bigger than the promotion and after UFC 196 Dana and Lorenzo just found themselves with not just one but two superstars now. They'll milk them for as long as they can.

answered your own question in exactly eight words.

and it's extremely short sighted of them, yes they'll make bank with this but they are making themselves look completely ridiculous with the fan base. it's bad karma.

Because "money in the bank match", errr i mean, FW belt.

Because haters are the most loyal customers and they know they will pay to watch him potentially lose again

TBH i'm surprised mcgregor himself even agreed to this, he is truly delusional.

Because the UFC is fucked and don't even pretend to make matches based on any sort of logic

they are hoping he lasts 5 rounds so they can give him the win via robbery decision
would be hilarious if that happened.

and then the fanboys come sweeping back in, "oh my his cardio now has caught up to his meuvement, mcGOAT can't be stopped now!"

so now its just stick "Mc" in front of anything and its a nickname?

at least put some effort into these

if by "fucked" you mean "more succesful than theyve ever been"? then I totally agree

with more haters than lovers, a loss is exactly what the ufc needs to bank.

They're letting the PPV kings like Conor call the shots
And Conor's ego couldn't handle that loss, why else would he want the rematch at 170?

It's quite sad to see that the main event of the most awaited UFC event in recent times is a non-title rematch

They win no matter what
Diaz wins and diazmania keeps building and the 209 become bigger stars....connor remains a more managable star whol still draw
If conor wins itl be as though the diaz loss never occured but nates grown into a bigger star

Win win
