You have two main events that are total mismatches(and any educated mma fan knew this b4hand).How do u expect pple to buy ppv when u put on at best ..mediocre events.I mean really ...maldonado was going to have a chance against a HW who has DESTROYED hw brawlers like big country, gonzaga???? Memo to ufc head office this is real life not rocky IV. Ok maybe u say thats just one instance...ok lets move on to mark munoz.... 1 win in his last 4 fights. his lost 3 in devastating fashion. HELLO!!! how was he gonna beat a well rounded prodigy like mousasi???? Ok i can already feel the flames coming my way(got my flamebrella ready) but UFC IS GOING DOWN THE DUMPS....MAX TIME 2-4 YRS. Watch this space FLAME ON!!!!!!!:icon_twis:icon_twis
All the negative threads on Sherdog have depressed the owners of Zuffa. I feel like the Stipe vs Fabio matchup was a cry for help.
One event was on Fightpass and the other was a TUF finale card, the worst or the worst events. People who think UFC is going to fall anytime soon should go away.
THANK YOU. U see its not 1999-2002 anymore, mma has become quiet mainstream so its pointless to put out a bunch of shows with average-mediocre talent just so as to attract more viewers.Look at friday night fights, i never used to miss this show(dont watch much tv now) but the marketing was genius...exciting up and commers, some great veterans/journeymen and great commentators.Pliz ufc look around and learn.
1. Neither event was on PPV. 2. Your "prodigy" was also coming off of a loss...to the same guy Mark was. 3. The other recent loss for Munoz was to Chris Weidman.
Keep in mind that the Brazil card was mean to be headlined by Dos Santos vs. Miocic, which would've made a huge difference to peoples perceptions of the Brazil card.
I'm a hardcore fan but I'm not buying fight pass out of spite and I'm not missing it at all. As a matter of fact, it's making me become more and more disenchanted with the UFC and I have a hard time getting excited for even the stacked ppv's these days
