Why is Rashad Evans being considered for a title shot?

Is it just me or is it weird that out of nowhere, a man we haven't seen fight in 2 years is apparently getting a title shot with his next win?

Rashad hasn't looked good in 5 years and his last 2 wins should have been squash matches ( Chael fight was, but thats not saying much).

He looked about 265lbs of dough earlier this year also and were supposed to be taking him serious?

And why are people looking past Bader like he's an easy win? The man is younger, stronger and just as experienced.

Rashad has looked terrible since losing the belt. In fact, besides the Chuck win, he never looked that good to begin with (dropped the first 2 rounds to Forrest). After his performances against Jones and Little Nog which are imo, 2 of the worst in mma history, he should be retiring

Probably because Bader should have been the rightful #1 contender. If Rashad beats the guy who should be fighting for the title right now, why wouldn't he jump the que a little bit? Also, he is on a fight fight win streak even if those wins were in 2013.

i just hope Bader gets the memo. no more boring ass fights no one wants to see him anyways. Maybe if he manages to do something mildly exciting, he could get the shot. But that's just how bad Bader is; being overlooked for an old man who hasn't fought in 2 years.

Rashad is being considered because he's a former champ, a big name, popular and has been in some pretty memorable fights.

Wot ? He destroyed Chael, gave Rampage a wrestling clinic & established where Davis is in the division. He did better than a lot of people did against Jones...the lil nog fight was strange though i'll give you that. Nogs TDD was on point in that fight though.
