Why is no one giving Conor a chance in the rematch?

It seems like most people think Nate is going to dominate the rematch. Conor was dominating the first round but he wasn't fighting smart. I'm not even a Conor fan but Conor was winning and it seemed he just had a bad gameplan against Nate. Nate could take his punches and Conor blew his gas tank in the 1st round. Granted Nate fought on 10 days notice but the way he fought was much more conservative then Conor and once Conor gassed out he got the upper hand.

I even picked Nate to win the first fight. It's funny that a lot of the people that aren't giving Conor much of a chance now are the same dummies who didn't give Nate a chance in the first fight.

I bet when Conor wins everyone will be back on the bandwagon.

Because Nate whooped his ass on 11 days notice. Conor needs a miracle.

I'm not on anyone's nuts.

How is he going to win this fight? Convince me.
His gameplan will be better. He will fight smarter by not headhunting and wearing Nate down. His gameplan was poor in the first fight. It's common knowledge that when you go looking for a knock out and you don't get it you are most likely done.

Yeah, right. How do you pick Diaz in the first fight where he was without camp but NOW magically Conor is gonna win against full camp Nate and fuckin KO him? How ? Please tell me.

I'd hardly say he whooped his ass, he won fair and square and that's it.
Either one can win this fight.
Nate did fight on 11 days notice and I expect to see him in better form for the rematch but let's not just pretend like Conor wasn't training for a completely different fighter for months only to have him changed on 11 days notice.
Nate Diaz and rda are completely different fighters there is no dispute about this.
Neither man benefited from that stupid decision

I think people are giving him a chance, just not a good one. I think Nate proved to Conor that he is a HORRIBLE match-up for him. Of course he'll be more prepared for this fight but so will Nate, and I think that makes it even more dangerous for him. I would guess that Conor is a 4:1 underdog in the rematch.

I don't think his skills are complete enough to do that. And I don't think he can wear down Nate enough before his own tank runs out. Conor is a headhunter. It's what he does. When he can't do that he took Holloway down and he shouldn't do that here. Not at all. His cardio is suspect not only from the Diaz fight but from his career. 1 time he went 3 rounds and other than that he's always finished his fights or been finished. More likely he actually lands something big and finishes than wears Nate down and Nate isn't getting hurt by Conor. Too little.

You pretty much nailed it right there. Styles make fights and it's another bad match-up for Conor.
Conor likes to get in the other guys head so they throw themselves at him so he can use the momentum to knock them out. That's the only way timing beats speed and precision beats power. Nate can keep his distance very well and has never been known to fly forward unless his opponent is already on peg legs.

wear nate down?? lmao

Conor was going all out in the first round and not once did it look like he was going to get a knock down on Nate. If he fights more conservatively the only way he wins is by decision but fighting conservatively will be bad against Nate who will bring the pressure and force Conor to work. Even if Conor somehow wins the first 3 rounds I could still see Nate finishing Conor if Conor gets tired. Conor doesn't have good top position or leg kicks to wear down Nate.

Check my post history. I swear to god I picked Nate and am picking Conor this time.

Laugh all you want dude. He will try to wear Nate down more this time instead of just trying to take his head off. What's so funny about that anyway?

You're probably not very good at picking fights i'm guessing.

This lol

Conor has a chance, but not an incredibly good one because Nate is a better fighter.

I really hate all threads that start with "why is no one / am i the only one".

You have to be an idiot not to give Conor a chance in the rematch.

Depending on the odds come fight night, my money will be on him winning.
