He never deserved to be in the top 10.

Because ppl are stupid why is Gray Maynard in the top ten after getting mollywhopped by two guys removed for inactivity. Yet T mwAnderson is still #2............... this is why you don't let a promotion make their own rankings

No way he should be top 10

Is he really? Ive never thought of him as top 10. He has had 3 fights where he virtually did nothing.

I think the media determines the rankings.

I will say that he's lost against top flight guys.

Boetsch is currently #14 and Munoz beat his ass without mercy, because Munoz is the definition of a lower top 10 guy.

I agree he is not top 10.

He fought top dogs at MW like Weidman, Machida, Mousasi. Im not saying a top 10 guy should beat them but at least a top 10 guy would be a challenge.

Munoz did absolutely NOTHING in these 3 fights. Nothing. 3 of the most one sided stoppage victories of the last years.

I don't know that he is top 10, but losing to Weidman, Machida and Mousasi doesn't necessarily prove he isn't top 10 since all of those guys are very highly ranked. He could still potentially be favored to beat the guys outside of the top 10 while still losing to those gentlemen. As for the Hammil and Okami fights, let's have some common sense, they transpired far too long ago to be considered in the current rankings.

I think the media determines the rankings.
They do. It's an aggregate of votes from multiple journalists representing multiple websites. They are NOT officially published by an "official UFC rank-maker" as people seem to believe.

They are, however, a pretty good indicator of the consensus on where a fighter is at in the division though.

Who is ahead of him? Romero after beating the world-beating Brad Tavares? CB Dollaway after grinding our Carmont? Maybe for both.... but honestly, having him at 9 when he should be 11 really worth the complaint?

At 9..who would rank ahead of him?

Weidman
Belfort
Machida
Anderson
Jacare
Rockhold
Kennedy
Mousasi
Dollaway
Philippou
Carmont
Bisping

All of these guys should be ranked ahead of him. Maybe Romero too.
