Seriously, I keep hearing of him as a “young fresh talent”, commentators refer to him as a ‘kid’, he calls Jon Jones ‘a washed up old man’. Israel is 30 years old hitting 31 this year. He’s same age as Khabib and I don’t see anyone calling Khabib a kid. Jones is only 2 years older than Adesanya. Dude needs to accept his age
Here's a much younger assassin! I don't believe Izzy took too much damage in his kickboxing career besides that one ko loss.
You’re right TS. Please end this right now Israel! Accept your age so we can all move on from this mess.
He's no Eric Silva, but yeah it was a bit of a shock when I found out Rob was actually younger than him. Probably the way he Carrie's himself and the way he's promoted.
Well he may be over 30 years old, but he's only had 104 professional fights so really he's just getting started. ... it's mostly his sense of humour / the way he acts + he's relatively fresh in the UFC. People just assume he's some kid on the way up.
Yoel is getting up there but still a beast so I'm glad Israel fighting him now than later. I still cant put these lofty labels on him(izz).....yet. The middleweight division has been a shitshow for a bit now- big reason why welters have moved up and had such success.
I do kinda think that's funny to. When he was on Rogan, he was throwing out all of these youth phrases like he was 15. He's just one of those guys that wants to cling to the youth cultural and remain relevant. Kinda like Gwen Stefani singing "I'm Just a Girl" and dressing like a 13 year old when she was nearly 30.
I'm 30 and I consider myself to be young. I also don't have any kids, I party all the time, and have no intention of settling down anytime soon. Hell, I'm quitting my job to move to Asia because fuck it. At the same time, I know a guy who is 26 he thinks of himself as an old man but he a couple kids, quit drinking, and coaches little league soccer. Youth is about perception. A 30 year old who is single, enjoying the night life, and travelling has a very different perception of their youthfulness than a 30 year old with 3 kids, a mortgage, who regularly attends PTA meetings.
