contender?

Seriously, I don't understand. He could wait or just take an easier fight until Aldo and McG is done and then get his title shot (unless McG wins).

Why is he risking so much?

cos he's frankie... i don't remember the last time i rooted for him in a fight...

but despite not being a big fan; mad respect and mad props to the man and his entire career...

He told he is getting no younger and he wants to fight and collect all the checks as much as he can..

He gets paid 100K+/100K+ to fight. Pretty good incentive to fight.

because edgar always does that
him bendo cerrone are a different breed

cause Frankie ain't no bitch

Because he's a fighter, and that's what fighters used to do back in the day before guys decided to sit out for a year and wait for a barely deserved title shot.

Also, recently on another website, this quote

His job is to fight guys for money.

Fight, get paid.

It's tough at the top, let's see if he can finish Mendes.

He's a bantamweight who was lightweight champion fighting welterweights.

It's not for us mere mortals to question his word or his balls.

there's no 'dangerous' fight for Frankie at 145.

Numerous reasons;

1. He's a true fighter.
2. Getting older, might as well get as many big paydays as possible.
3. He is capable of beating Chad.

If he thinks he's going to lose to one of them then he has no business fighting for the title. He'd have to face one of them as champ anyway at some point

Frankie is old school, he will fight anyone anywhere

Should be a great fight could really go either way

I'm backing frankie to win, Chad will struggle to match his relentless pace once it reaches the championship rounds

True. And he should cut down to BW. He would be champion forever there.

If he hadn't agreed to the fight and instead Holloway/Mendes got made. If Holloway had won, where would that have left Edgar?

He couldn't really refuse this fight.

Going with Frankie. He'll get rocked at least once, come back and outpace Mendes to win the decision.
