From what I see he's not actually doing anything for the UFC, other than smiling at the camera from the crowd somewhere now and then at big events. It looks to me like one of those situations where a communist dictator creates a bunch of job titles for his friends and relatives just to get them payed, even though they dont actually do shit. This all sounds nice and kind, but for the useless to get payed, those who are actually doing something need to get payed a bit less.

So basically although I got nothing against Chuck, the way I see it, dump him and Hughes, and any other dead weight, and use that money to increase the pay of the fighters who are actually working.

Now that Chuck and Matt are gone I'd imagine the first thing the owners will do is increase fighter pay.

When you pay 4 billion for something worth 1 billion you need to somehow make up the difference

Some people here think Chuck Liddell is entitled to a lifetime job because he contributed a great deal to the company. While it's true he did help them a lot, they don't seem to realize how much of a burden it is and how it's just opening a can of worms.

There are dozens of other fighters who have contributed greatly to the company, so why weren't they ever given jobs? What kind of a job will you give all of those fighters? Will you make up new titles for the? What is the best way for Chuck Liddel to help the company now. Why was he given a desk job? Does his strengths really lie behind a desk?

Not really true. Tito was more the star of the dark ages of the ufc, his rivalry with the Lion's Den was really all they had. Chuck was rising near the end of the dark ages, and truly broke out when he captured the title at ufc 52 which was after the TUF 1 finale which is seen as the moment the UFC broke free from the stigma's holding down mma. He was popular for his fight style sure, but definitely was not the "Star of the dark times"
