Why is Everybody Counting Out Faber?

Firstly) I am not picking Faber to win, I am picking Cruz.

But, mostly all sites I have looked on, and predictions from Sherdoggers have all picked Cruz to win. I remember looking at the ' burning questions for UFC 199' from Bleacher Report, and one of the slides was titled "does Faber have a chance?"

I am just wondering why everybody is favoring Cruz here, their last fight was really close, and although Cruz has won the belt again, there is no question to who has been more active, and is probably more rounded than Cruz, with power and submissions etc.

So.. why?
 
Ask yourself, why are YOU picking Cruz to win? And you´ll find the answers to all your questions deep within yourself my young padawan. We need not seek external knowlegde when we got all the internal we´ll ever need.

Cruz is a chessmaster with the best footwork we've ever seen in MMA, and will pick apart Faber—who barely beat Frankie Saenz in his last fight.

Not sure. I think it's because Cruz is that good.

But Faber is one of those fighters that rises to the occasion and does his best work against the great ones. He held his own against Frankie.

And did better against Cruz (both times) than Dilly did.
 
Agreed. I have Cruz winning a decision, but Faber has a better chance than people are giving him. Granted it was a while ago, but Faber cracked Cruz a couple times in the 2nd fight. People also blow that fight way out of proportion too, it was closer than some are suggesting.

To answer your question though - because it's Sherdog. Fighters get completely written off all the time on here.

Master Tong or Thong was piecing him up when he was impersonating Cruz. Imagine what the real Cruz would do. Still rooting for Faber though.

 
i support Faber in this one, but i think that Cruz is gonna win.

I am going to guess it is because he loses all the time in UFC title fights. Not to mention Barao is losing all over the place and he dismantled Faber
 
Because it's for the UFC 135 belt. Faber wins every fight in the promotion except title fights.

And anytime a male wears those fucked up corn rows I hope he gets the shit kicked out of him. Corn rows are fucked up on white women. On white men they are just completely, totally, irrevocably, on GOAT levels of teh gheyness.

So I won't know for sure who I'm rooting for until fight night.

Corn rows look dumb as hell on anyone, EXCEPT....funny enough....Faber. I think he pulls them off pretty well.
 
If you counted him out all the other times,you were doing the right thing,so why change it now? :p
