Why is Dana protecting Ronda Rousey?

You don't run a successful business by making decisions base of emotions of fans.
At this point you would have to be pretty foolish to not understand why a fight with cyborg cant happen above 135. Theres many variables, but they need to have this fight in a way where both fighters can still compete for UFC after. Right now above 135 that isn't possible for cyborg.

Also she has been busted for winstrol in a post fight piss test, easiest test to pass. That's why the steroid thing came up
 
I'd be willing to bet Cyborg gets the fight as soon as she shows she can make 135. No protection there, the ball is in Cyborg's court.

If you're asking why neither Cyborg or Rousey want to change weight (ie to make it fair either Cyborg loses 10 pounds of muscle or Rousey gains 10 pounds of muscle), its because they're not sisters and neither owes the other squat. Why change your weight for someone you don't even particularly like (and that's true for both of them).

They're not the same size (if they were Cyborg would make 135 as easily as Rousey). They're naturally one weight division apart (again, if they weren't Cyborg could make 135 as easily as Cyborg). So why should either change their body (either gain or lose 10 pounds of lean mass) to help the other?

Cyborg agreed to 140 so she is doing everything to make the fight happen but all we hear from Ronda is excuses and unproven chargers of Drug taking.

Just because someone looks big doesnt mean there juiced up.

This pretty much sums it up. When you get popped for roids, you lose a lot of credibility.

It isn't up to Ronda or the UFC to come to Cyborg's terms, it's up to Cyborg to make herself available on their terms. If she doesn't want to do that, she can just continue to run her mouth and make squat in Invicta.

Why should they care what Cyborg agrees to when she has absolutely no leverage? They told her the fight is hers when she makes 135, a deal they have never given to anybody before.

It makes no sense whatsoever for Ronda to chase Cyborg. Ronda's making money hand over fist with her current setup. Only Cyborg would benefit from Ronda moving up a weight class to fight a roided-up manwoman from another MMA promotion. If Cyborg wants to sacrifice the muscle mass she packed on with steroids to make the cut, she's welcome to try and challenge the champ like everyone else. Until then Ronda will keep making movies and commercials and becoming the biggest martial arts superstar of all time, and Cyborg can keep beating up undersized women in Invicta.

It is pretty obvious that Cyborg is the reason the fight hasn't happened. She has ducked/ran, lied and changed her mind a hundred times about nearly everything you can think of over the last four years to the point that nothing she says or does can be taken seriously.

Then, what happend next was that Ronda beat Budd and Cyborg got busted for steroids. Ronda still agrees to fight Cyborg at 145 (According to Cyborg and her lawyers) for the FW title. However, with Cyborg unable to get her suspension reduced SF gets rid of the 145 class, effectively cancelling the fight (Cyborg's ruins the fight #1).

This doesn't even take into account all the times Cyborg says she is going to 135, then she will die if she does, then she will be fine, then dead again ... etc.

she doesn't exactly look like a concentration camp victim, she is still carrying a ton of muscle mass. She just has to drop five pounds of it and the fight is on. Cyborg is just too psychologically attached/addicted to her muscle mass to let it go. She knows she can keep her name in the headlines by barking at Ronda from a distance, while never having to actually take the fight.

Cyborg has no leverage to dictate the terms. Ronda is going nowhere, she is a stationary target, if Cyborg wants the fight, she knows where she has to go to get it.

that means she is saying she can fight at a weight 35 pounds below her walkaround weight, but claimed it was physically impossible, and maybe even fatal, if she tried to cut from her walkaround weight of 160 (see video above) down to 135 back when she asked to be released from the UFC, even though that is only 25 pounds. The only conclusion was that she JUST DIDN'T WANT THE FIGHT, since she could have clearly cut the weight.

So lose five pounds of muscle from where you were before and make the fight. The UFC wasn't willing to make a catchweight fight for Carano ("White made it clear that if such a fight would happen, it would have to occur at 135 pounds."), so they sure aren't going to make one for you.

The contract is already signed, supposedly. Cyborg just has to prove she can make the cut to 135 in a separate fight, then they will bring her into the UFC. Keep using that troll account, because when it happens you won't like the results. Also, Ronda doesn't need to start rumors about Cyborg juicing - she's already tested positive for steroids in the past. Plus, just look at her...

I have actually come around on the Cyborg fight and say it now needs to happen at 145.. I want to see Cyborg at her best fight Ronda at her best. The 135 division is a complete 1 woman show. Do a one time fight at 45 Ronda.

Ronda's move? Are you stupid? Cyborg signed with the UFC on the agreement that she would make 135 and fight Ronda. Dana said she will get the title shot as soon as she makes 135. It is Cyborg's move. It suddenly doesn't become Ronda's move because Cyborg backed out, yet again, of trying to do what she said she would to make the fight happen.

Cat Zingano at her best would be probably be juiced up and weighing 175. Should Ronda have to fight her like that? Would it make Cat a better fighter or just a bigger cheater? This whole Cyborg at her best is bullshit, she is purposefully trying to maintain her size too big to make 135 rather than just making the weight.

Good post!! I dont feel none her mass is do to drugs. I think even GINA was stronger then Ronda.
 
They could do 140 catchweight non title fight. There are zero excuses.
