Why is CNN attacking Trump?

For the longest time, Trump was the darling of CNN, whether the story was positive or negative. But the last few weeks they have just been murdering him, sometimes several stories a day. I've said all the bad things I could about Trump, but even I'm taken aback by CNN's behavior of late. It really seems they're going out of their way- not just to get hits and sell ads- but actively distorting things and trying to harm him.

Today's example is a headline about the primary rules spat, but just beneath it are two items: "NYC to Trump: He's not one of us" and "Opinion: Why We Owe Trump"

That he's crushing in New York on the eve of the primary is an afterthought to CNN- instead focusing on how even though he's crushing, he's hated by every single person in the city. And the mediocre opinion piece has an offensive-to-working-class headline and is full of Trump bashing. These are far from the only examples, just today's. I've even seen them taking Cruz's side on disputes like the wives b.s. Is CNN really pushing a Cruz agenda? Is this backlash for Trump's hostility toward the press? CNN is one of the few news sources who tries to be objective, but they're not even pretending at this point. Any other explanation here? I can't imagine the media being thrilled with Cruz, but here we are.

Politics has nothing to do with cnn. I know conservatives love to paint everything in us vs them paradigms, but that's for first graders.

The reality is actually worse than that, bc they are a network of ratings whores. And yet they still have the audacity to call themselves journalists. They have zero ethics and are far and away the worst, most damaging news network out there.

First- the news started shifting against Trump after Super Tuesday because he was the presumptive nominee and they were going to general election mode.

Second- What Cruz side was their to take. He didn't authorize the add with Trump's wife - even though Trump claimed Cruz bought it and gave it to the PAC (another total lie). But, Trump most definitely threatened to spill the beans on Cruz' wife and tweeted that ignorant shit.

3rd-No. CNN doesn't want Cruz to win, they want Hillary vs Trump.

Lastly-Does anyone really doubt that NY is going to the dem's again?

I did not realize he is crushing NY. There seemed to be a lot of anti-trump with protests in Columbus Circle outside one of his buildings.

And I think CNN reported that some Union is protesting against Trump.

That doesn't ring true to me, because CNN is well aware that Hillary is polling way better against Trump than Cruz. Those are not reliable polls, but what polls we do have show Cruz with the better chance.

NY will obviously go Dem again, and for the foreseeable future, but it's interesting because of the GOP primary. It's going to make a huge impact. I'm not about to pretend Cruz isn't working with his PAC because I wasn't born brain dead, so enough said there lol.

The FEC has really put on the brakes this year as far as investigations and enforcement. And aside from those gray area tactics, there is always, always the wink-wink, nudge-nudge. Never before have PACs so blatantly resembled campaign staff.
