I thought they both have a handshake agreement to not step on each others toes when it comes to broadcast times. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd tentpole event Bellator is putting on a Saturday during a UFC PPV this year.
I want Bellator to survive for many reasons, but it feels like when TNA tried to go head-to-head with WWE on Monday nights and paid big time for it. They are not as powerful as they think just yet, despite signing a few older big names fighters much to what TNA did (signing old Hogan, old Sting, old Big Poppa Pump, Hall, Nash - Big Country, Fedor, Mir, Mitrione, etc). I really hate using pro wrestling talk in the UFC forum, but i can't really find a closer analogy to each respective industry.
Simulstreaming is quite entertaining though not going to lie....
