    The arena is going to be either empty or completely dead until the Pats game ends after 10pm, the prelims on FS1 will go virtually unwatched, and your organization's breakout star will be on at midnight on a Sunday night? That's some horrible planning UFC.

    There's supposedly 3-4000 Irish travelling over so they'll be there from the first prelim making a lot of noise so I wouldn't worry about the arena.

    Pretty sure the arena will be better than your usual Vegas crowd with the traveling Irish and the fact that it's in Boston.

    It's an odd one as it means Europe can't watch it live either as the majority of people have work on the Monday.

    This is in Boston and at least all the prelims will be up against the Patriots/Colts championship game. Good luck with those ratings, UFC.

    Fox was hoping for the Cowboys to be in the NFC champ game and of course the Pats to be out of it

    I will just DVr the prelims and the main while watching the AFC game live then switch over and catch up on the main card

    I think fighting after Church is an Irish tradition. Church and Prayer followed by alcohol, rage and violence.

    Morning -> Church
    Afternoon -> Bar
    Evening -> Watching Conor McGregor fight

    Bar -> Church -> Fight about which branch of Christianity is right -> make up over drinks at the bar -> fight

    They want to try to get even 2% turnover of the people who are going to be home after the game Sunday. Expect a lot of McGregor ads during the game.

    You're aware that there are more than 60,000 people that live around Boston right? And not every person is a diehard football fan.

    Also, there is a whole other coast (west coast is the best coast) where the main card starts at 7pm with the main event being around 9pm.

    Primetime shows on sunday usually have excellent numbers because most people are at home watching tv because they have work on Monday.

    We don't waste our time with such protestant sorcery these days. Or church really for that matter. It's basically just bar's and fights.

    Because Sunday is the day of the McGregor.

    Fighting is relaxing for Conor, it's how he rests.

    "And on the seventh day, Conor rested."

    In Boston you don't have to be a diehard fan to go & cheer a Pats game, bandwagoner central.

    Bad choice by the UFC here.
