I never claimed that. You've lost so you've resorted to putting words into my mouth. It's a comparison of resumes. Nothing to do with MMA math.
Cub didn't deserve it. He lost to Aldo in seconds and Aldo still had contenders to beat. You have a very simplistic view on things.
Cub beaten dustin when Dustin was ranked #7, Conor beat him when he was at #5. one was a decision, the other was a first round TKO.
Cub beat stephens who at the time was ranked #11...hardly a victory deserving of a title shot (que "but Conor got one after beating the #10 ranked siver. No he didn't, he got it after beating Dustin, but decided to stay active and risk his title shot against Siver. Also Conor TKO'd Siver in 2, and Cub decisioned Stephens.)
So Cub did not beat 1 top 5 fighter. That should be a requirement in getting a title shot. It's much easier to collect wins outside the top 5 (brown and max have done it previously).
Mendes deserved the title shot over Cub. Cub needed to wait and he failed against Frankie and Frankie used Cub's momentum to catapult him back into contention. Conor's opportunity came after Aldo had beaten the other top 5 (frankie, mendes, Lamas). Conor was the next logical choice as he was #4.
This is a well balanced discussion taking into account all the variables. I've just informed you how it went. Use this experience and learn from it. Grow as a poster and perhaps take on different lower tier posters in future. You're welcome.
