Why hasn’t USA developed its own martial art and relies on using other countries martial arts?

There are several fighting styles from America. Philly shell, Rough&Tumble, Crab, Carnival/Catch wrestling, Peekaboo, etc. and those are just off the top of my head.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gouging_(fighting_style)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15835447-rough-and-tumble

Why are people so openly willing and comfortably ignorant about American history?
Great point with Rough and Tumble
People are pretty ignorant about MA
I remember when I used to train judo, many conversations looked like this:
"-You train Karate or something, right?
-It's judo
-What's the difference?"
So I'm not really surprised when people say they don't know what CACC or Gouging are

Does it really matter? Most martial arts are old as shit and were long invented before the good ole U.S of A even existed.
You cant hold it against a country for being young. Usa, australia etc.

This country is too busy with sports like USA Football, Baseball and Basketball. Sports that generate billions and attract true A level athletes that will make 8 and 9 figure contracts.

But would get beat up lol.
