MSG is a no go yet he has no fight line dup. wtf are they waiting for?
I thought he was injured.
MSG or no MSG, he really should be fighting before the year's out.
he and his wife are about to have another baby
hes too hot had to cool him down
Weidman really should fight more, if he doesn't have a title defense lined up and he ever wanted to do anything at 205, now is the time. If Patrick Cummins can make the top 10 with a win over a guy with a 1-2 ufc record, he should easily be top 5. I'd pay for Weidman x Rumble.
I think Chris must be just fine making championship money and only fighting once or twice a year.
Agreed. Let's have some more of the Chris - he's a legend in the making if he can continue the roll he is on.
MW is an exciting division, a lot of very good contenders for the Chris. Rockhold, Jacare, Romero. All great fights! Hope to see Chris fight one of them soon.
Weidman's going to be like Cain. Declared the GOAT despite fighting maybe 3 times in a 2 year span. Then father time will catch up and we'll all look back and saw that he didn't stay active enough to cement a legacy.
More like why is RDA allowed to put himself on ice? He's calling out Conor McGregor while he forces Cerrone to wait month after month for the fight to even be scheduled. He's been walking around fine since May at least. Lightweight has so many good fighters, but so many inactive champions and contenders.
I thought they announced Weidman/Rockhold with Rousey/Tate for Jan 2nd? Thought I saw a thread on it last night.
If it's true that means Weidman only fought once this year.
they need a headliner for January card, I'm thinking he pops in there.
He's recovering from surgery. He plans on being back at the end of the year.
A fight with Romero would be most excellent.
Isn't he fighting Rockhold Jan 2?
I thought he didn't have surgery? He beat Pettis with the same "injury" he has now. He's been walking around fine for months, since before 187.
He's been out five months without a fight scheduled and Cerrone waiting while he calls out McGregor and other fighters.
Maybe...he's already had a handful of injuries.
Last I heard, RDA tore his MCL, it did not require surgery, but he still has not been cleared to train.
