PFL has a 10 million dollar fight pool.

six fighters will get paid 1 million plus in this tournament.

Rory Macdonald made $250,000 from sponsors alone fighting Douglas Lima. That’s not counting his actual pay. Then he got the $100,000 from his salary.

Tyrone Woodley made $200,000 for the fight night to fight a killer and isn’t allowed any sponsors lol. Only Reebok.

This goes for non champion level ufc fighters like Rory and now Tyrone. Obviously the champions make more. But for every other fighter on the ufc roster you’re making less money to fight high level fighters.

Why fight the best fighters in the world for less money?

Some fighters want to fight the best? Be the best in the world? Higher earning potential? Reebok sponsors.......

    Higher earning potential?
PFL GP winner gets UFC champion's money.

And if you are smart with sponsors, you get way more than Reebok money, especially if you just started in the UFC

That would make sense, unless the guy who runs the buissnes of the best of the world was dana white, a greedy bloated red faced goof.
Money is all that matters, fuck the competition, competition doesnt pay bills.

The reality is that we don’t know exactly how much they get paid, especially at the top level.

Jones said he made more than 5m a fight, while his disclosed pay was 500k. And that’s not just PPV points, there’s other undisclosed stuff going on. That’s a huge difference.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Tyron made quite a bit more than 200k, being that he’s an ex multiple time world champion and all.

Depends what you want to fight for really. If you value money then the PFL can be a great route, if you value glory and legacy not so much.

Lance Palmer has won $2 million in 2 years, but if he retired tomorrow, he'd be forgotten in about 6 months (maybe being a bit generous there), but his family is set.

your forgetting the guys who lose there first fight make 10k only for the year. it only pays off if you win. notice how fast the 1 million winner jumped to the ufc.

pfl knows they need a gimmk to get people. that how wsof folded in the first they were so top heavy with ali guys it killed them.

That's why Ben Askren was a genius. He fought low level competition in One FC and convinced everyone he was GOAT. Then he came to the UFC (he should've stayed retired, he had everyone brainwashed) and got beat up by everybody (Robbie included).

This was said VERY long ago, by fighters.
If you want to be famous, fight in the UFC.
If you want to make money, fight anywhere else.

We don't really know how much anyone is really getting. For UFC - they might be interested in not disclosing the real ones. Meanwhile competitors are just jonesing to spill the beans on their biggest payouts just to make UFC's released ones look bad.

But also - you have to take into consideration that a lot of these ex-UFC guys are making good bank cause of their UFC shine. And those other orgs get more money from financiers cause they leverage ex-UFC fighter name recognition on their roster.

It'd be cool to have numerous places for fighters to get awesome paychecks, and I hope there are UFC rivals out there, but this is such a lie ridden, promotional talk infested business - I don't trust any of these numbers.

Yeah so why not fight for the better pay and all that lovely sponsorship money elsewhere? Anyone think of a reason why these guys stick with the UFC?

Despite what Sherdoggers day UFC pays more.

Only 6 people in PFL get a million. And that’s only after 4/5consecutive wins. So they make 200k-250k per fight. UFC has guys that make more guaranteed regardless of whether or not they win 5 in a row.

Fighters can still have other sponsors though, but they have to wear Reebok gear during the fightweek which means limited coverage for other sponsors = very little money. Unless you have lots of social media following and use that for promoting your other sponsors.
