He was calm, composed and very calculated in that fight. Only vs TJ does he fight like a madman on a vengeance.

I honestly believe that Cody was just at the very pinnacle of his game that night. He was superhuman for some reason. It was an anomaly.

People completely OVERLOOK the fact that Dom suffered a potential fight ending cut when they clashed heads early in the fight and completely abandoned his style to headhunt Cody for 5 rounds.

Dom would take Cody “No Chin” Garbrandt in a rematch.

Well I don't think Dom would TKO Cody, but I do think that TAM finally figured out the game plan to beat Cruz, and it was to follow up with more than 1 or 2 shots each time he disengaged after attacking.

I do think Cruz could game plan agaisnt him though, and they should have a rematch once Cruz heals up and gets a tune up fight.

Not to mention, people act like Cody dominated that fight. I think I remember Dom winning two rounds? Could've easily made some adjustments and probably grabbed a third.

Cody can KO anyone at any moment in time. cruz should stay away from him and pretend that fight never happened

Styles make fights. Cruz doesn't have KO power.

    TJ does.

Dominick, Cruz, Cody = Rock, Paper, Scissors.

I wanted sooo badly for Cody to win but I think this is right. I will say though that Cody was not the same guy vs TJ. Too KO hungry.

    Fuck I can't stand TJ.

People forget how much Dom actually landed on Cody in that fight, he just didn't have the power to compete with him.

Cody could get away with his mistakes because he had no reason to fear Cruz's punches, as they have no power.

Also there was less pressure. Cody absolutely HATES TJ. A lot more than he dislikes Cruz. For an emotional fighter like Cody, not being able to control it is a death sentence.

Emotions, Pride. You name it aside from TJ being the more complete fighter. anybody who watches Alpaca Thesaurus would have a good Idea as to why he lost. His mental game played a big part in his defeat. He was too focused on knocking TJ out and not acknowledging the events of their first fight made the likelihood of it happening again very high.

Cody levels the “KO” field with that LACKING chin of his.

His chin made Dillashaw look “Tysonesque” for two straight fight lol. Seriously besides Barao who has Dillashaw even hurt with his pitter patter? Joe Soto?

Because TJ knows Cody is dangerous when he is calm, composed and very calculated. When he has the time and space to pick the angles for exchanges, like in the first round of the first TJ/Cody fight. That means if you can put pressure on Cody and force him into making mistakes he becomes an emperor with no clothes, which is why blasting kicks is so effective on him.

LOL. You talking about pitter patter, while also making lame ass 'he was cut in the first round' excuses for why Cruz didn't beat Cody.

Cruz can't beat Cody because Cruz is the king of pitter patter. And given you just stated that Cruz went headhunting for 4 rounds and still couldn't KO glass chin Cody makes your posts even more laughable.

Let's not forget Cruz looked flat footed and slow in that fight and his previous fight with Faber. Cody caught Cruz at a good time.

Plus TJ can actually punch, and "No Chin" can't take clean punches at all.

cruz didnt look good and hes also a good matchup for cody - hes a pitter patter striker who aside form mizugaki hasnt ko'd any1 in like a decade lol. cody was able to box the breaks off cruz and not worry about getting put to sleep with a counter. tj packs a bigger punch and isnt as injury hindered as cruz
