Why don't other major sports like MLB, NBA, NFL adopt USADA?

So far they do bicycling, swimming and mma...But Only in the UFC. Are these other leagues not serious about It? I know they self regulate much like WWE has their own wellness.

How would a self regulated UFC drug test procedure look like? Would TRT Vitor come back to take the belt?

This is the answer. The testing policies in the other major sports are decided upon as a part of the collective bargaining agreements between owners and the players associations (unions).

the nfl does a few test on a few players every year they all always fail and get their 4 game suspension pretending like they give a fuck but obviously they do not and neither do the fans. for nfl guys to be recovered on sunday after a Thursday night game I expect them to be juicing

Because it costs money and is counter productive to the product they put out there. But in a combat sport where guys are getting locked in a cage and trying to hurt each other, I can understand the UFC’s stance on PEDs and their reason for out outsourcing the testing to USADA.

I dunno but it's effecting the sport's image. My dad who follows major sports was getting mad at all these guys testing positive and thinks the UFC is a second-rate sport because of it.

The reality is these other leagues are already over with the masses and people dont care what the players pump into their bodies, they just want their teams to win
The UFC is still trying to establish itself as the fourth major sport in America and they need to look clean and get as far away from their "cage of death" roots as possible so the sponsors dont take any heat from the media and the watchdog groups that are always looking for the next scandal that they can use to generate mass hysteria and line their own pockets

Football has 10 times the head trauma than MMA. Weekly. Football is a sport where they constantly crash into each other. Those helmets and pads do little to nothing. In fact they should probably go back to using leather helmets. Football is 10 times more dangerous than MMA when it comes to brain health, mma is safer than boxing, football maybe even hockey.
