His sideways stance makes him vulnerable. Eddie alnost dropped McGregor with leg kicks then for no reason started boxing with him and got starched.

Aldo didn't even throw a kick instead dove in for a ko punch for some reason.

I'm not even a huge McGregor fan but it's probably because they're busy getting punched in the face. McGregor stands sideways yes but he uses his distance really well.

Wrong forum, TMZ is thataway -->

Getting punched in the face takes up their entire attention.

Kicks leave you open for a counter... which Mcgregor is good at while closing distance... Would get pieced up. Just go for the takedown...

Never understood that, he has one of the heaviest lead legs so I don't get it.

Because kickers don't make his Match.Com want list neither do wrestlers unless they short camped and shorter than him...

Because he moves better than a lot of fighters, going for leg kicks on some one with the speed on Conor will likely not work out well at all.

He moves in and out to well.

Too busy being unconscious.

Conor bless

Siver did it and knocked him down twice. More fighters should attack his legs since his knees are shot. And it would make his punches less effective.

Why don’t McGregor’s opponents not get knocked out more?

Max literally broke his foot trying to leg kick McGregor.

A bad idea to mess with power punchers with those. People always talk about not kicking wrestlers but dudes with a dangerous rear hand are just as risky to kick. Ask Gus

On both occasions, Conor was in the motion of throwing a kick as well so essentially he got knocked down because he was only balanced on one foot.

Throwing those type of kicks leaves you wide open to be countered. The only reason Siver managed to last as long as he did was because most of Conor's strikes kept landing just above his head (Siver's got to be 5'5 at best).

they are probably worried about being countered

He's never fought a fighter that can kick effectively. That's all

1. Siver did well with it, but he just wasn't good enough to make anything else happen.
2. Leg kicks tend to leave you open to straights and hooks.
3. Conor does a great job of pissing his opponents off and making them brawl to take his head off.
