couldnt hang in boxing. I mean he could fight some bums at HW and get some sick KO's but he's a good MMA boxer. Not a good boxer. He's won all of his fights off having better striking, because the talent pool is so shallow. The two people with good hands he fought (other than hunto) either KO'd him or beat his ass to a narrow decision. He's got damn good hands in MMA but if he was fighting nothing but HW's with better boxing than him he aint lasting long.

JDS's boxing is vastly better suited to MMA with no gloves and whilst it makes up most of his offence he clearly does have defencive skills elsewhere, if he were just a MMA boxer Rothwell would have taken him down and finished him easily.

The HW scene is as big as its been in years and theres plenty of opposition that would merk him ina boxing match. You clearly dont follow the sport so you wouldnt know, and thats fair. Most of em are still flying under the radar.

Yep this thread is totally about glorying JDS's boxing ability, its not at all about American MMA fans showing off a strange nationalistic inferiority complex to boxing dispite there not having produced an elite HW boxer in over 20 years.

JDS wouldn't do very well in boxing its true but again his style is very clearly built around MMA boxing which is vastly different with the smaller gloves.
