In all seriousness, it's pretty clear that there is tons of passive aggression and verbal sparring between boxing and mma fans not just on this forum, but on social media. Why? Why tie your identity towards either "team boxing" or "team mma"?
As someone who boxed all throughout college and a fan of MMA as well, I've never understood why boxing/mma fans can't see the value in both sports. Especially with guys like Floyd and Conor, both of whom are not only accomplished fighters in their respective sports, but have tons of admirable personality qualities and traits that I think anyone can learn from. In fact for me, both Floyd and Mcgregor are pretty good role models/heroes, barring the antics & trouble they get into outside of the ring.
As someone who's a software dev by day/music producer by night, in my respective fields I always try to implement some of Floyd's consistency and perseverance in my day job-- and I try to take some of Mcgregor's self belief, visualization, and his ability to set doubt aside in the face of "impossible" tasks in my creative endeavors. I think as MMA and Boxing fans, we shouldn't be so quick to defend what we've arbitrarily deemed "our" sport and denigrate the other sport, and we should just sit back and watch a pretty insane spectacle of two dudes with a lot that we can all learn from.
Anyway, my two cents men
Is this some kind of neckbeard measuring or something?Joined: Saturday

because theres morons on both sides of the argument, on conors side you have kids who want their cake and to eat it aswell, because not only does conor have a chance, but apparently hes the best thing since slice bread.
on floyds side the boxing purist are completely ignorant to the danger that mcgregor actually posses with his hands, and completely ignore the success he has had with his hands at the highest level of mma.
they act as if a amatuer boxer would ko aldo in the first exchange.
fights like this brings the most morons, because casuals =morons.
i just had a casual tell me that people dont throw jabs in mma because takedowns are the counter...lmao takedowns are the counter for ANY timed strike.
gives me a headache
Aldo should have better asked some sherdoggers for advice before the fightWhat aldo did was the most amateurish horrendous thing anybody could of done to a counterpunching lefty. You don't throw a haymaker like that. Any southpaw would of knocked him out
Aldo is a idiot by the way
I am sorry man, you have the wrong forum. Actually wrong communication medium to be more precise. This isn't the place for rational thinking. Please see yourself off of the internet. In all seriousness, it's pretty clear that there is tons of passive aggression and verbal sparring between boxing and mma fans not just on this forum, but on social media.
