Why does no one talk about Brian Ortega's steroid suspension?

He tested positive for drostanolone and was suspended 9 months following his debut. Had this been in the USADA era, he would've been suspended for two years. Nonetheless, the guy has a massive fan base and is generally regarded as a humble, honorable fighter. I just find it odd, since usually the forums tend to hate people that test positive, especially for a genuine steroid.

True. I guess because it happened before anyone knew who he was. I didn't know much about him until the Guida fight. Give him a little more time and everyone will absolutely despise him too.

Because the anti-PED crusade shows no consistency whatsoever.

At least he owned it. Took it like a man.

Probably the one and only example of someone who admitted and apologised instead of coming up with cheap ass excuses.

Edgar Will expose him anyway

1. it was a low-profile fight

2. he copped to it instantly and didnt make excuses

3. he hasnt pissed hot since

To be fair. He was suspended before “tainted supplements” became a legitimate excuse.

If he was to be suspended today, he would have no doubt tried that excuse (I mean maybe he would not no doubt. Too lazy to delete a word on a touch screen phone)

Nobody really cares about steroids

Because he doesn’t look like a juicehead. He looks like nate Diaz. Skinny fat

Maybe because he a weird dog-shit body?

First I've heard of it. Bear with me, it may take a few minutes to summon the rage.
