Why does Nick Diaz 'move the needle' but Nate Diaz not so much?

Better fighter, longer history, better record and resume, and was a big name before Nate ever made his debut.

nate is a poor man's nick, you can tell he copies his older brother in just about everything.

I think nick's personality is the more genuine, and nate just kind of follows the blueprint.
