Why does Fedor not grapple anymore?

Fedor already said "Every fighter wants to work on his opponent's strongest skill. I wanted to test myself in the standup against Fabio."

Why did he want to take down "champion kickboxer" Jaideep "JdS" Singh and finish him on the ground, then?

I was wondering that myself. After he got his ass rocked in round 1, he STILL kept his hands down for the rest of the fight, and kept eating jabs. Where was the standup defense he showed vs CroCop? He had an awful gameplan. I was also wondering where the takedowns were too. Sambo slam his ass, then GnP easy victory. I would expect that kind of fight IQ in the special olympics MMA but not from Fedor. What a sad performance.

Doesn't know, probably Fedor wanted to defeat Jaideep with gnp, but vs Fabio he wanted to defeat him standing. Thats his words, and he did, he stand the 3 rounds. There is a video of Fedor post fight saying that if you don't believe me.

I believe he said it. I just think it's odd he says that's his philosophy but he fought a one-dimensional kickboxer not long ago and did the opposite thing. I.e. the smart thing, and that was take him down and finish him easy.

Yes, but I am glad he didn't, the three round standing fight was awesome.

Strange. Not a sigle takedown attempt. I think this is the age. He is not so fast and flexible now.

Not that odd. it was his first comeback fight, so he probably didn't want to risk it. but now he wanted to really test himself I guess.
