Why does cardio vary so much in MMA?

Ur also working with a different type athlete. Guys like lebron and Kevin Durant shouldn’t even be real humans . They look small on tv but in real life are fucking huge . One day Carmelo Anthony and the nuggets came and practiced in our high school gym . I’ve never seen a human so big . And now imagine he is jumping high af and then he lateral quickness to more side to side to match a 6 foot man . And not only was he tall he was fucking wide . Those guys can’t be compared to mma guys

AFL players run 15kms a game, play full, 360 degree contact sport with insane sprint and power efforts littered throughout each game. Their training is bananas.

If you throw them into a grappling or MMA or boxing 3 minutes in training, they just fall apart.
Absolutely wrecks them.

Why? Dunno!
Because their body aint used to grappling,boxing or mma.

Injuries incurred in training.
Bad weight cuts.
Getting hit in the fuckin legs,face,and body.

Cardio has a lot of factors that contribute to it.

Lol u sound like u maybe hideing something . It’s nothing wrong with being gay. It’s usally the ones who trip who are repressed . And I was 16 being able to watch nba players scrimmage it would be memorable . And yeah the fucker didn’t look real .

It's quite subjective. Rashad at the peak of his career was a cardio machine. But he never did roadwork.

I wanted to have a discussion about why cardio can vary so much from fighters to fighter.
It would also have to do with body type. You wont see a DJ compared to say a Roy Nelson have the same cardio. MMA fighters train much harder than most sports. The fights the easy part as most of them say. The gruelling camps and weight cutting all add to it. And some people get a second whim where they can rise above diversity and others like Conor just give up. Thats not just MMA, thats all sports.

The answer is that your genetics are the biggest contributing factor to your VO2 max. If you are really curious, research the physiological characteristics that influence a person's VO2 max.
