weidman did win 2 times, fair n square.

nobody disputes that. but why do ppl act as if silva was completely outmatched n weidman dominated from beginning til the end?

in both fights silva gave up the 1st round, like he always does. weidman got his td n did minimal damage while on top. in 2nd fight silva actually did more damage from the bottom, as he busted weidman up. if you watch carefully weidman was completely disoriented at the end of the round. he didnt know where his corner was.

in 2nd round in both fights weidman didnt do much. in 1st fight he tried a telegraphed td n got stuffed n then threw sloppy punches n kicks. in the 2nd fight he was just trying to survive the round, as silva was on the attack.

both fights had a bizarre ending to them. 1st with silva overdoing his mind games n in 2nd with a freak injury. weidman did win on paper, but neither one of those wins prove without a shadow of a doubt that weidman is better than silva.

if or when they fight again silva is still gonna be the favorite to win n silva by tko 2nd or 3rd round seems like the most probable outcome.

Took him down, had a decent sub attempt, flash KOed him in the clinch (Andy's own game), checked his kicks to the point of snapping his leg (2nd fight only), avoided getting punched/kicked in the face during the stand-up (Andy's own game), brutally KOed him

    Fucking dominated.

    lots of ppl dispute that.

both fights definitely didn't end in 'normal' fashions, but irregardless Weidman was the better fighter, both times. In a 3rd, I'd favor Chris by submission.

Because Silva landed little to no offense in either fight.

Did minimal damage on top? Did you see silva's eyes after Weidman landed some of that ground and pound? (First fight)

    Well. He basically did.

Silva had nothing for Weidman in the first round of the first fight, lost the round handily. It was more of the same in round 2, then Silva got KO'd.

The second fight saw Weidman drop and almost finish Silva in round 1. Then Silva broke his leg in round 2.

Silva has landed practically nothing on Weidman in their two fights, save for a few low kicks.

EDIT: Also, plenty of people dispute that Weidman won twice 'fair and square'. I swear, it seems like half this site thinks Weidman's wins over Silva mean nothing still.

OP you're making yourself look like an idiot. He dominated both fights. The first fight Anderson came out confident and got KO'ed. In the second fight Anderson was getting beat up even worse before the broken leg. I like Anderson, wasn't winning at any point in either fight.

"gave up the first round like he always does"

myth. anderson always had problems with wrestlers. the best wrestlers he faced were lutter, hendo, and chael x2. the all took him down and beat him up. other than that, anderson doesnt "give" anyone the first round.

weidman shut everything andeson had down except a few leg kicks in the first fight. to say he corrected that mistake is a massive understatement

First fight was competitive, but Anderson got knocked out acting like a fool. Seconds fight, Weidman won the first round handily, then Andy comes out and snaps his own shin in half.

Two utterly bizarre fights. I have no desire to see a 3rd either.

Well considering two 2nd round stoppages, a near first round finish in one fight and Silva's inability to land any significant hand strikes while standing, so far Weidman is pitching a four round shutout.

Because he did dominate him? The only thing Silva had for Weidman in two fights were a couple of leg kicks in the first fight, and Weidman took that away from him and used it against him in the second fight.

Weidman has proved that he is better than Silva.

holding someone down n doing next to nothing isnt really what i would call "dominate". dont be silly. n if you think weidman was clearly winning the 2nd rounds of both fights, then you should seek some professional help.

Haha that line had me doing the same reaction. At first I thought the part of "gave up the first round like he always does" was the crowning achievement. Then I thought the part of doing no damage (near KO in reality) from top position was the crowning achievement. Then that last line came. The OP is like one of those Russian dolls... only instead of dolls it is stupidity. One layer on top of another and just when you think you're done... SURPRISE! Stupidity wrapped inside of stupidity covered in stupidity.
