Why do people hate fast-tracks to the title?

Because in cases like Conor it kind of ruins the division. He dodges all of the bad-matchups from contenders in the division, KOs Aldo, then leaves the division completely...then gets an immediate title shot a weight class up? It's fucking retarded and shits on all of the contenders in the division trying to climb the ladder just so the UFC can make a quick buck.
yeah that's the big problem with all the hype with champ champs these days. hopefully its a fad, people will get tired of it when its nothing special anymore, and the fighters realize that defending your throne is actually what makes a real GOAT

If i couldn't do it in the UFC game, then they can't do it either. It's not realistic. lol.

It's hard to know who the best is for a few reasons.
Fighters can only fight so often
Match-ups are often arbitrary and not based on merit

In tennis this week we'll have the #1 player playing the #2 in the Aussie Open final. They each won 5 matches to get there. They proved they are #1 & #2. Tennis is very objective which is nice from merely kissing Dana's ass.
agreed, and thats why going back to tournaments (UFC) once in a while could really be a good thing for all parts, and its an easy and familiar concept to sell to the public
