Why do people always use Gustafsson fight to discredit Jones but not DC?

I gotta re-watch DC vs Gus.

Same because I remember DC winning pretty handily.

Anyone who tries to discredit a fighter by siting a WIN is a fool or a hater. Same way the other way around. Gus fans go on and on about how great he is because of the Jones and DC fights - fights that he LOST.
Jones beat him in a close fight with controversial scoring, And DC had a close fight as well... but they both still won and that’s all that matters to me

But as you see from the comments already they think Jones definitely lost to Gus and dc whipped Gus easily.

DC won with aggression, and making the fight dirty, his clinch uppercuts in that fight were soooo good, it's like gus had no idea what to do to stop em. not sure why DC/gus was a split but jones/gus wasn't.
